Step 1: Open the Box
Your Trezor package should include the device, a USB cable, recovery cards, and instructions. Make sure the packaging is untampered for security reasons.
Step 2: Go to Trezor.io/Start
Visit the official setup link: https://trezor.io/start. This ensures you download the official and safe software.
Step 3: Download Trezor Suite
Install Trezor Suite on your desktop to manage your crypto. It’s available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Step 4: Connect Your Device
Plug your Trezor into your computer using the USB cable. The app will detect it and begin setup. Allow firmware updates if prompted.
Step 5: Create or Recover Wallet
Create a new wallet or restore an existing one using your recovery phrase. Always write the seed phrase on paper and store it offline.
Step 6: Setup Your PIN
Set a strong PIN directly on the Trezor screen. This prevents unauthorized access if your device is lost or stolen.
